Sita Williams Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 19, 2025.
Sita Williams, a resident of Prattville, Alabama, left this world on May 29, 2025. Sita was just forty years old.

Sita was born on January 25, 1985, and grew up in Somerville, Massachusetts. She joined the Air Force out of high school and simultaneously earned her degree in Information Systems. She later transitioned to the Air Force Reserves before retiring from the military after 21 years of service. Sita was a certified network engineer, and served the government as a civilian protecting military communication and information systems.

Sita had a passion for movement medicine and holistic health. She enjoyed nature and traveling. She was strong and independent, and a light to those who knew her.

Sita enjoyed adventure and cosplay. She loved her home and backyard, and a great deal of effort was put into making the spaces her sanctuary. Sita enjoyed her pool immensely, and spent a great deal of time relaxing on her deck.

Sita is preceded in death by her partner, Tyler Baumann. Tyler was the love of Sita's life. When he tragically left this world, it was amidst plans of marriage and growing a family. Sita felt the loss dearly, and there was a hole in her heart where Tyler was supposed to be.

Sita kept her circle small, and those that were special to her, knew the honor that it was to be loved by her. For her friends with small children, she never missed a birthday or a holiday. No matter how busy life became, she was always available for a chat. Sita loved with her whole heart, and that is how she will be remembered.

Sita is survived by her fur babies, four cats: Rascal, Pixie, Gizmo, and Butler.

In lieu of flowers, her friends ask that donations be made to the veteran non-profit of your choice. Friends are invited to an informal gathering to celebrate Sita's life and legacy on September 12, at Hilltop Public House, from 6-8pm.
