Thomas Donaghy Obituary

With heavy hearts and deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas "Tom" Joseph Donaghy Sr. of Flagler Beach, FL. He lived a long eventful life filled with 95 years of experiences and was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and proud Veteran of the U.S. Army (Korean War). Tom was born in Philadelphia, PA and in 1957 he married the love of his life, Irene "Renee" Fleming. He worked at Peach Bottom Nuclear Power Plant in Pennsylvania for over 30 years and loved traveling, boating, and socializing, but his favorite activity was spending time with Renee. Their devotion to each other was apparent to everyone; they were inseparable. Tom is survived by Renee and their 4 children: Thomas Donaghy Jr.; Kathleen Donaghy; Sharon Kochenour; and Michael (Cinda) Donaghy. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many other beloved family members and friends. He will be forever missed. A Mass is being held at Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach on December 5 at 10 a.m., and following that, Tom will be laid to rest with full military honors at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. There will also be an Irish Celebration of Tom's life on December 6 at Flagler Woman's Club in Flagler Beach from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
