William Hawkins Obituary
March 2, 1966 - June 12, 2025
William Brax Hawkins of Seagoville Texas passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, at the age of 59. Born in Irving, Texas on March 2, 1966, to the late Barbara June and Billie Dee Hawkins, Hawk lived a life defined by steadfast loyalty, hard work, and a heart generous beyond measure.
Though he had no biological children, he proudly helped raise Aaron, Cassie and Caden Scott-loving them as his own and playing a lasting role in their lives.
He is survived by his devoted partner, Mary Quinones, his sister Cheri Hawkins Daniels and husband Bo as well as a wide circle of friends who became family-each blessed by his willingness to go above and beyond whenever they needed him.
Brax began working at Larry's Discount at 11 years old where Larry Mayfield and family welcomed him as one of their own. He went on to build a 31-year career with ABF Freight Company, retiring with the respect of colleagues who knew him for his unwavering work ethic and good humor.
Hawk took great pride as a member of the Teamsters local 745 since 1992.
Away from work, Hawk was most at peace with a fishing pole in hand, swapping stories on the bank or boat. He always looked forward to his many trips with friends to Galveston.
Brax lived simply, loved deeply, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand.
Hawk's legacy of kindness, and quiet strength will live on in all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Service Information:
A celebration of Braxs life will be held Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 pm.
