Ann McKay Burton died a few days before her 76th birthday (July 12th) at her retreat on the Suwanee River. Always called "Annie" by her two sisters and three brothers, she was the youngest daughter of the late Genevieve Agnew McKay and Rev. E. Osbourne McKay. Sister Nancy and brothers Peter and Paul have gone on before her.
Sister Bonnie Denman and brother David miss her terribly. She was a lover of all God's creatures especially cats, never being without a kitty, or two, from the time she was a tyke 'til just last year when she bid farewell to her magnificent Bubba. Ann was a talented marketing manager for Disney World, working her way up the management ladder. She traveled widely in her work, discovering new gifts to be sold in all of the shops. Part of her time with Disney was in the California division where she became acquainted with stars like Fess Parker and Tom Selleck. She did many wonderful things for her friends and family but she would certainly say that her crowning accomplishment was her son Christopher, with Jen, and their pride: Carly.
