Nancy Johnson Obituary

Nancy L. Johnson, 84, formerly of Ways Lane in Manchester, passed away May 8, 2025 in Hoosick Falls, NY. Nancy was born in Naylor, Georgia on March 30, 1941 the daughter of the late Robert and Nancy (Lee) Durden and attended local schools. Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Manchester where she was on the Deacon Board and taught Sunday School. She loved going to church, listening to church music and traveling the countryside, Nancy enjoyed watching sports especially following her son and grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her grandchildren Eli and Alexander Johnson of Manchester, sisters Evelyn and Trish Durden of Georgia and her former daughter-in-law Clancy Wall. She was preceded in death by her husband Elex Johnson and her son Alex Johnson. Funeral services for Nancy will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 1pm at the First Baptist Church of Manchester. A visiting hour at the church will be held from Noon-1pm, one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Georgia. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Nancy's memory may be made to the First Baptist Church of Manchester, c/o Brewster-Shea Funeral Service P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, VT 05255.
