Ronald Kleman Obituary

WAPAKONETA -- Ronald Eugene 'Ron' Kleman, age 69 of rural Wapakoneta, passed at 11:50 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Kindred Hospital, Lima. He was born July 31, 1955 in Lima, Ohio to the late Cornelius E. 'Neil' and Mary Katherine Harter Kleman.

Ron was owner/operator of Kleman's Apartments and a member of St. Joseph

Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, Ron began working at a young age alongside his grandparents at Kleman's Corner, a local landmark that once served the community as a restaurant, gas station, and car dealership. What began as a family business eventually evolved into what is now Kleman's Apartments. At just 16, Ron was already helping his grandparents sell cars, beginning what would become a lifelong career in auto sales.

Ron spent more than 45 years in the automotive industry, working as a sales manager for several dealerships throughout the Lima area and Kenton. He was known for his friendly nature, strong work ethic, and dedication to the people he served.

A passionate sports fan, Ron proudly cheered on the Cincinnati Reds and was a devoted follower of Tennessee Volunteer football and basketball teams. At home, he had a soft spot for his beloved cat, Sweet Pea, who brought him much comfort and companionship.

Above all, Ron's greatest joy in life was his family. He was a proud and loving father to his daughter, Stacey Lynn, and her husband, Jared, and the most devoted Grandpa to his treasured grandsons, Kolvyn and Brantsyn. Every night, without fail, he reminded Brantsyn, Kolvyn, and Stacey how proud he was and how deeply he loved them all. His face lit up whenever he spoke of them, and they were truly the light of his life.

He is survived by his daughter – Stacey Lynn (Jared) Clausing of Wapakoneta; 2 grandsons – Kolvyn Clausing and Brantsyn Clausing; and a sister – Diana Kay Kleman of Wapakoneta.

Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 22 at the funeral home and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Auglaize County Humane Society.

Yesterday

I grew up in Cridersville and went to school with Ron. Praying for the family that they draw close to Jesus and receive his comfort.

My deepest sympathy to the family for your loss. I grew up down the road from Ron and his parents. I can't recall a day when Ron and I would talk that he was in a bad mood. He always had a great ear for listening and sharing thoughts. A truly great person to have known. He will be missed at the Kelman's' Corner.

Stacey and Family,

So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. My parents and Ron's were good friends and Dad raced on the track behind the house.

You will be in our thoughts and prayers,

Sheri (Troy) and Doug Werling
