Kyle Kendrick Boswell, 67, of Hope Arkansas, was hospitalized while supporting a USAF 12th Missile Defense Battery (Patriot) as a civilian contractor in Saudi Arabia on January 4th 2025. He was transferred by military ambulance one hour to SMC Hospital in Riyadh where he survived 50 days in the ICU passing away on February 23, 2025, just before 7am CST. Kyle was born October 12, 1957, to Wilma and Charles Boswell Sr. in Granite City, Illinois. Kyle graduated from Marceline R-5 in 1976 where he was active on the football and baseball teams. He recounted his most important and influential teachers were Coach Ralph "Cotton" Cavanaugh, Principal Frank Fregoe, & Viola Fregoe (Business). After high school graduation Kyle went on to attend University of Central Missouri Warrensburg studying Industrial Safety. After UCM, Kyle worked for SanteFe in Kansas and then in 1989, began attending Drake State Technical & Community College in Huntsville, Alabama studying machine tooling after which he took a job at Gardner Denver in Quincy Illinois as a precision lathe operator. In 2003 Kyle began a career in Power Generation as a civilian contractor focusing on mobile power supporting military operations primarily in Iraq and Afghanistan. He began with the firm Kellogg, Brown, & Root in Baghdad/Tikrit Iraq leading him next to Salerno Afghanistan, FOB Al Asad AFB Iraq, Al Minhad Air Base UAE, Erbil Iraq, USAF base on Wake Island, then finally to Saudi with TDX Global in 2024 after the Saudi Royal Family Visa was granted. In 2022, Kyle returned to the states to take care of his brother Butch who was hospitalized during COVID and moved him to Arkansas where they lived together until Kyle left for Saudi Arabia in 2024. Kyle loved being part of a team and always had a keen eye for anyone in need. Kyle had a kind spirit and made many friends during his journeys abroad, staying in contact with them through the years. He was respected by coworkers. Kyle was happiest when with his dog Wonton and traveling with his brother Butch. Kyle became a Christian in his youth and then recommitted his life to Jesus Christ in 1989 and was baptized at Southside Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama by Pastor Robert Horner Jr. Kyle had an enduring strong faith in Jesus Christ. He seldom ever complained and was known for saying "God never makes any mistakes". His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16. Kyle was repatriated Monday March 10th with his remains being flown from Saudi Arabia to JFK International Airport and then onto St. Louis Missouri where they were received by Arnold Funeral Home of Mexico Missouri. Kyle was buried Wednesday March 12th at the family plot in Hull Cemetery Callao, Missouri. Funeral services were conducted by Kyle's friends, Christian Missionaries Bob and Esther McCauley of Kokomo Indiana with family and close friends from the First Church of the Nazarene in Mexico Missouri including Kim French of Bentonville, Arkansas. Captain Bosom Maduakor provided flowers. TDX GLOBAL Team Lead Zhengyang Rao provided logistical support and special encouragement. Kyle is survived by his brother Charlie "Butch" Boswell; sister, Lynne Anne Hillis; brother-in-law, Bruce R. Hillis; niece Amy Begemann; and grandnephew, Richie Begemann. Kyle is preceded in death by his father and mother of Marceline, and infant brother, Kennedy Hull Boswell. Kyle is now Eternally Safe in the presence of his Blessed Redeemer Jesus Christ, The Risen Son of the Living God. Praise His Holy Name. Amen.
