I knew Ms. Beverly from her time at Alexander HS she was one of my daughters teacher and was a wonderful teacher although we worked at different campuses I remember her daughter Cristina from school. She was always a great person to talk to and always smiled. Rest in Peace! My condolences to her Daughter Cristina and her son Jason.

My deepest sympathies to Cristina, Jason, and Liza, as well as Beverly´s remaining family and friends. I enjoyed working with Beverly at AHS. Her wit, honesty, and outlook were always tempered by her humor and laughter. I pray that the humor and laughter grace your daily remembrances and ease the pain of your loss.

Ms. Bev didn't just help students; she also helped other co-workers and friends. She was knowledgeable about anything and everything. She helped my students with Current Events, and she helped me guided me and my students through Ready Writing. The last student she helped earned 6th at State. That is her legacy. Whether she was in the classroom or out, she was always helping others. I will forever miss her. The UIL program at Alexander High School was forever touched by her presence.
Rest In Peace, my friend. It will be our job to carry on your legacy.

Miss Bev was an inspiring educator. As a teacher myself now in Boston, her drive to see the best in students is what motivated me to join the profession. How lucky I was to walk into the last class on the right in the 600 wing as a freshman eager to join debate. You made it worth it! I will miss you.

Miss Bev was such an integral part of my high school experience. She was infinitely wise, witty, and kind, and was always there for any student who needed her. I´m so grateful to have been able to know her. Miss Bev´s classroom was always open, and she was always there when I needed her, or just wanted someone to talk to. Some of my fondest high school memories happened in her classroom chatting with her, and I know this is true for so many of her students. I´ll never forget how she could so easily light up a room and make people feel welcome, safe, and loved. Sending so much love to her, her family and all those who knew her.

I will never forget Miss Bev. She was hugely important in my speech and debate and journalism competition days in high school, and I always admired her indestructibility. Nothing fazed her, she was always prepared and sharp, strong and confident, but always with a loud joyful laugh and giant smile. She brought her students smiles and tears of laughter and made so many of us better thinkers, better speakers, and better people. I will never forget Bev seeing something in me and asking me to compete in regionals for UIL Copy Editing even though I had never competed or studied the subject, only for me to win first place on my first try. I will never forget Bev leaving the results room yelling at the top of her lungs, "He did it! On his very first try! He got first!" She was so proud of me, she knew I had a keener eye than I thought I did and she wanted nothing more than to lead me to success. I will never forget the night she drove me from a competition out of town back to Laredo at nighttime, just her and me because the other students would be returning later. She showed me so much of the music she loved and talked about the bands she saw when she was younger. She was always so cool and wise to me, a grandma away from my grandma. Bev will always be a part of my successes as she was one of the earliest in my life to truly believe in me even when I hadn´t proven myself. She will always have her beautiful soul. I will always miss her.

I will always remember how wonderful and patient Beverly was with the kids who had the most trouble with the state exam. Beverly played a significant part in helping them prepare and build hope that they would achieve a passing score. Another coworker would often tell her to write a book about all the things we needed to know all things English so that we could all buy her book.May God Bless you during this difficult time.

Through her dedication, kindness, talent, and love for teaching our children, she created fond memories that will last them a lifetime. She instilled values and inspired passions that helped these kids turn into the beautiful young adults they are today. These young adults have felt a great loss of someone who they loved and trusted. One of Alexander High-school greatest assets. I am praying for our young adults and children´s whose lives she impacted to heal from this terrible loss. I am praying for her family´s solace in knowing she has no pain. Praying for your hearts to be lifted and consoled.
