Lois "June" Landreth Obituary

Our beloved Mom, Lois "June" Landreth, passed away July 17, 2025 at her daughter Candace's home in Springfield, Missouri.
June was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on June 28, 1931, the youngest of 9 children. Her family moved to Yuba City, CA when she was 3 years old. She married Roderic Landreth in 1949. They moved around extensively due to Rod's job with PG&E, but settled in Lodi in 1963 in the home where she lived for 61 years.
In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker, Mom volunteered as a Pink Lady at Lodi Community and Memorial Hospitals for many years, and at Senior Daycare at Hutchins Street Square. After being widowed in 1982, Mom took classes at Delta College and worked at the Lodi Public Library.
Mom was always very creative and crafty, and she pursued many types of crafts: making babies (porcelain dolls), knitting, quilting, embroidery, card making, and scrapbooking.
Mom always enjoyed going to craft fairs and boutiques with her many friends. She also had fun playing bingo, cards, and Bunco.
Mom enjoyed traveling, and was able to visit the Burgs, England, Scotland, and Wales, and took annual trips to Maui for many years. Friends and family were very important to Mom, and she was always ready to support and help in whatever way was needed.
Mom adopted her first rescue dog, Ginger, after Dad died, and that ignited a passion for rescuing animals. She provided a loving home for many dogs over the years.
Mom will be dearly missed by her children Devin, Candace (Gary), and Abby (Bryan), grandchildren Eric (Chauna), Amber (Michael), Ashlynn (Dave), and Tommy (Devyn), great-grandchildren Lyra and Oliver, and her last dog, Mitzi.
In keeping with Mom's wishes, there will be no service.
If you wish to honor Mom's memory and passion for rescuing animals, please donate to PALS Haven in Lodi, CA.

June was always so gracious and welcoming, every time we would get together she would compliment us all and be so loving and warm. We will miss her smile and her sweetness!!!
