Peter Roy Obituary

Peter T Roy

August 4, 1949 - June 21, 2025

Peter Thomas Roy, 75, of Stoughton, WI, passed away on June 21, 2025. Born in Ashland, WI, Peter built a life marked by deep faith, generosity, and a strong work ethic. After graduating from UW-Madison, he served as an R.N. UW Hospital in Madison for over 3 decades.

A devoted father to Joshua, Lorinda, and Correna, and proud grandfather to 5 grandchildren, Peter was a longtime active member of City Church in Madison. He treasured family, fellowship, and service, always welcoming others with warmth and humor, driven by a desire for people to know the love of Jesus.

Outside of work and church, he found peace and joy riding his e-bike, kayaking, canoeing, gardening, and enjoying quiet moments on his porch with his cats.

Peter was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie, his parents, and sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held July 19 at City Church Madison, with visitation at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m.
