Donald Burdick Obituary

Donald J. "Tinker" Burdick, 74, of Cicero, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
Born in Syracuse, NY, a son of the late Robert E. and Mildred (Mallett) Burdick, Sr., he was predeceased by his brother, Robert, Jr. in 2014.
He was a 47-year employee of Crouse Hinds Company, retiring in 2015.
Tinker enjoyed the dirt track experience at the Brewerton Raceway and camping on Lake Ontario, last twelve years at Willows on the Lake. He always enjoyed traveling to South Dakota to visit family, especially the grand and great grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, the former Sheila Marie Hartzell; daughter, Christina "Tina" (Scott) Johnson of Madison, SD; grandsons, Mark (Claudia) Johnson and Brandon (Sarah) Johnson; great grandchildren, Christina, Aubrey, Amelia, Maverick, and Kayden; brothers, Pat (Waneeta) Burdick and Lee (Bonnie) Burdick; nephews, Pat, Jr., Jeff, Matthew, Christopher, Brandon; nieces, Adele, Breanne, Brittany; great nieces, and great nephews
Services follow calling hours on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. including a 5:45 p.m. Bishop Curley Columbiette prayer.
Committal service will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.
Donations may be made to NAVAC, POB 215, North Syracuse, NY 13212-0215 or to a charity of your choice.
