Paul Chris Bosschem, age 82 of Manistee died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
He was born on August 22, 1942 in Traverse City, MI the son of the late Andrew P. & Lorraine N. (Lemke) Bosschem. He was a 1960 graduate of Manistee High School and attended Ferris State College.
Paul began his career at Mowry Buick Pontiac in the early 1960's, building a successful business for 43 years, selling it on July 31, 2003. He was a life member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Paul was an active member of and volunteer in the Manistee Community wherever a need existed. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, snow skiing, and tinkering in his shop.
His sixty-three year marriage to his surviving wife, Ginny began at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Ludington. Also surviving are two daughters, Lori (Tim) McDonald and Sheli (Todd) Griswold; three grandchildren, Nathan (Kaylie) Griswold, Drew (Alanna) Griswold, and John Paul (Paige) Brooks; and a great granddaughter, Winoa Renee Griswold.
Paul was also preceded in death by his sister, Suzanne Kuechenmeister.
Memorial Services for Paul C. Bosschem will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Manistee with Pastor Rex Benfield officiating. A reception will follow at the Manistee Elks Lodge #250 at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee on Friday, July 25th from 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorials in Paul's name may be directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Homeward Bound.
