Tonya M. Howard
Tonya M. Howard, age 46, of Keewatin, Minn., passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, at her home.
Tonya was born in 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended Indian Springs High School in Nevada and then continued her education at Yavapai College in Prescott Arizona, where she received her bachelor's degree in business. However, because of her love of helping others, she also pursued various healthcare education. Tonya was a CNA with hopes of becoming a nurse. Tonya moved to Keewatin Minnesota in December of 2017.
Tonya was an avid gardener and crafter. She started her seeds in the winter and by summer her entire yard was flourishing with flowers and vegetables. Tonya owned Baubles and Bows crafting business. She made beautiful handmade wreaths, centerpieces, and various other decor. She was a member of the Hibbing Farmers Market and enjoyed her craft shows across the Iron Range. Tonya as a jack of all trades and considered a "handywoman", she had the ability to fix almost anything. Although stubborn at times, she had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone. She was an amazing, wonderful, caring mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and family member. She will be missed greatly and forever.
She is survived by her daughter, Emily Howard; mother, Diana Howard; sister, Katrina Howard; niece, Ariana Howard; and many friends.
Tonya was preceded in death by her father, Russell; brother, Leron; grandparents, JoAnn and Harold, and step grandfather, Bob.
A visitation will be held at Libbey Funeral Home on Saturday January 18, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and lasting until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service.
