Miriam Gundolf Obituary

TROY - Miriam J. Gundolf, 103, of Troy, died on Friday, July 18, 2025. She was born in Troy, OH, on November 13, 1921, to Elbert and Flossie (Baker) Leapley. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years Richard Gundolf in 2009; son Steven D. Gundolf in 1967; sisters Doris Kouse in 2001, Eileen Studebaker in 2014, and Naomi Dick in 2014. Miriam is survived by her son Scott A. Gundolf and his partner Barry Adelstein, and sister Erdine Leapley. Miriam graduated from Elizabeth Township High School in 1940. She was employed at Hobart Mfg. Office in Troy in the typing pool, The Kilgore Mfg. in Tipp City, assembling flares for the military, and worked as a switchboard operator and posting machine operator in the accounting department. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10-11am at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley, followed by a procession to graveside at New Carlisle Cemetery.
