Bruce Arthur Warren
It is with profound love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Bruce Arthur Warren, cherished brother, devoted father and grandfather, and loyal friend. Born on March 9, 1968, Bruce was the third child in a family of five siblings, grounded in strong bonds and enduring care.
Bruce was the beloved son of the late Charles Arthur Warren and Emily Frances LaFontaine III, whose memories remained close to his heart throughout his life. He is survived by his siblings: Charles Warren and wife Michele, May Warren-Alfano and significant other Steve Parker, Emily Witherspoon and husband Carl, and Deborah Hopkins with her fiancé Joseph Lung.
Bruce was a proud father to his daughter, Jennifer Kay (mother Trish Kelly), and welcomed his future son-in-law, Cory Berens, with love. His heart grew even fuller with the birth of his grandson, Carter Jett, on November 13, 2024, a gift that brought him immense joy and pride.
Among his nieces and nephews, Bruce shared a particularly strong bond with David and Christopher Alfano. He proudly taught them how to hunt and fish, took them boating, and offered wise advice about girls, life, and everything in between. The three shared a love for computers and gaming when Bruce needed tech support, David and Chris were his first call, especially Chris, who once helped build Bruce's computer from the ground up. These acts weren't just technical they were expressions of care and connection. He also adored Julie Miller, Emma, Audrey, and Logan Hopkins, and Charles Witherspoon, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Bruce found his greatest joys outdoors whether hunting, fishing, or helping others discover those same passions. He had a quiet culinary talent, preferring to share meals rather than recipes. Family favorites included his ambrosia dessert, potato salad, and hotdog goulash, with bologna sandwiches topped with mounds of ketchup and mayo rounding out his top comfort foods.
He was a masterful gamer, effortlessly conquering video games with enthusiasm and skill. Despite life's challenges, Bruce worked tirelessly to achieve milestones he was proud of like putting a new roof on his house and installing a garage door acts that spoke volumes about his grit and determination, this was all possible by his Uncle Richard LaFontaine who helped install it all, and his wife Connie Lafontaine who also assisted. Bruce was also a Michigan Football fan and Detroit Lions Fan, he loved his football.
Among Bruce's closest friends were the Schusters, Bradley, Shannon, and their children Ryan, Reed, and Donovan who held a sacred place in his life. He loved them dearly and found in their bond the kind of friendship that lasts a lifetime.
Bruce's life was one of quiet strength, devoted love, and unforgettable flavor. He leaves behind a legacy stitched with stories, laughter, and the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
