Wade Cooper Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wade Stanley Cooper, age 60, who left us on April 26, 2025. Born on January 21, 1965, in Onamia, Minnesota, Wade grew up in Isle and was a true Minnesotan at heart, despite his travels across the country-from the coasts of Washington to the sunny beaches of Florida, and through the rugged landscapes of West Virginia, Montana, and South Dakota.

Wade graduated high school and spent most of his life in construction, both in various trades specializing in concrete work for roads and bridges and later owning and operating Beaver Oak Trucking from 2018 until his untimely departure. He was a proud laborer who approached every job with determination and a strong work ethic.

Wade was not just a hard worker but also a lover of life. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Isle on October 20, 1968, and lived life to the fullest-whether it was fishing walleyes, riding his beloved Harley, hunting deer, or enjoying live music, Wade was always the life of the party, ready to share laughter and stories with those around him.

He is survived by his beloved fiancée, Candice Day; his cherished son, Wyatt Cooper (Tessa); his parents, Weldon and Marlene (Hasse) Cooper; his brothers, Kelly and Reed Cooper; and an extended family that includes aunts, uncles, and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Wade was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Pearl (Massey) and Weldon Cooper; his maternal grandparents, Frieda (Beutow) and Walter Hasse; several uncles and a cousin.

A Celebration of Life is being held at Wahkon Community Center on May 24th, 2025 1pm-5pm.
