Dianna Schonder-Hartman Obituary

Dianna Pauline Schonder-Hartman

December 26, 1941 - July 4, 2025

Ventura, California - Dianna Pauline Schonder-Hartman passed away surrounded by family on July 4, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born on December 26, 1941, in Belleville, Illinois, Dianna was the beloved daughter of Carl and Ethel Schonder. She graduated from Belleville Township High School in 1959 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Miami in 1963. In 1961, she married and soon after moved to California following her husband's graduation from law school.

A devoted mother, Dianna raised three daughters in a home filled with love, warmth, and kindness. Throughout her life, she lived in Lafayette, Pacific Grove, and most recently, Ventura, California.

Dianna's cheerful spirit, gratitude towards others, compassionate heart, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was known for her radiant smile, her generosity, and her sincere care for others. Guided by her faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she lived by Bible principles and gave selflessly to those in need. She welcomed all with open arms and a loving heart.

She is survived by her sister, Jan McCraw, and her three daughters: Ashley Gonzalez, Melissa White, and Kimberly Willison.

A memorial service will be held in Ventura on Saturday, August 16 at 4:30 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, where Dianna faithfully served her congregation and her God.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dianna's memory to the Jehovah's Witnesses Worldwide Work Fund at donate.jw.org (click on "Worldwide Work").

Dianna was THE best big sister anyone could have. I was never looked down on as the little twit. Lol. She´s probably the very best person I have ever known, in every aspect! I will miss her every day.
