Oakdale, California - Ruby Junella Furr (June 19, 1936 - May 14, 2025), lovingly known as June Ellis, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, at the age of 88. A devoted wife, mother, sister, and cherished Granny, June lived a life filled with love, strength, and devotion.
She was born on June 19, 1936, in Roff, Oklahoma and grew up on the Horseshoe Ranch, where her deep appreciation for family, hard work, and nature began. Later, her family moved to California, where she spent the rest of her life.
June worked in real estate for many years and took great pride in helping people find homes and build new beginnings. Outside of work, she was an avid quilter, and her beautiful, handcrafted pieces brought joy and comfort to many.
June is survived by her children, Terry and Gary; her three sisters, Betty, Jane, and Robbie; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy.
A funeral service will be held on May 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakewood Memorial, with a reception to follow.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Gary and Terry, I am thinking about both of you. Your Mom was always there to talk to me when I was visiting my Dad and out walking. I have missed her the last couple of times and was wondering how she was doing, For some reason, I just checked the obituaries this morning. I remember in high school, she stuck a needle thru my ears into a potato to pierce them because my parents wouldn't let me get them pierced.
