Connie Lea Dickerson (Williams)

Mrs. Connie Lea Dickerson (Williams), age 89, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, in Grand Junction Colorado. Connie was born September 2, 1936, in Levant, Kansas, to Francis and Elva Williams. Connie was raised as an only child after the death of her sister, Sharon.
Connie lived a full and vibrant life and had an unwavering strength of character.
Connie is preceded in death by her beloved husband David. Connie and David were married on April 1,1956 in Del Norte Colorado, where they lived until moving to Monte Vista and later re Locating to the Montrose area.
She is remembered lovingly by her children, Danny Alan Dickerson (Debbie), Rodney Lee Dickerson, Karen Dawn Dickerson Linsacum (Kenneth) and Darren Todd Dickerson; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A devoted Christian mother and wife, Connie held a deep belief in Jesus and teachings of the Bible. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life and was reflected in her kindness, dignity and marked by devotion to her family, faith and community.
Connie was a graduate of Del Norte High School and later attended Alamosa Career College. She used her degree later in life when she and David bought and operated Lathrop Hardware and Dickerson's Home Center and Appliance beginning in the late 1960's to the early 1980's. Her leadership helped shape these businesses into trusted local establishment's.
Connie found great pleasure in reading romance novels, camping under the open skies and the years spent traveling with David in their motorhome, and cheering on her favorite baseball and football teams in person and on tv.
Perhaps most dear to her heart was attending her children's sporting events and never missing an opportunity to support them with pride.
Those who knew Connie will remember her as cheerful, happy and always with a smile or a witty remark.
There will be a Celebration of her life on October 18, 2025, in Del Norte Colorado.
