Born on April 12th, 1957 Leona lived a life defined by a deep love of her family and a quite strength. She married the love of her life (Rick Leavitt) on December 23rd 1976 and together they built a family grounded in love, humor, resilience and connection. Leona was an incredibly devoted mother of her six children: Amy J Connors (Arren), Rickey L Leavitt (Carrie), Stacey L Houchin ( Albert), Jeffery A Leavitt (Shawna), Amanda H Garrett (Keith), Sandra "Noelle" Enochson (Kris). Leona's legacy continued with her 18 precious grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. They were her greatest joy and proudest legacy.

She is proceeded in death by her Mother Barbara Harris , her father Jimmie Dale Guthrie, her sisters Lynn White and Betty Parmer, her brother Jerry and her sweet grandchild Shalla Leavitt. While there absence was deeply felt. She carried their memory with grace and tenderness through out her life.

Although her chosen job was to be a mother. Leona earned a bachelors degree in science: education concentration which allowed her to teach and filled many hours of her time with hard meaningful work. Leona was a very intelligent, soft spoken and educated women.

Leona had a quite, enduring presence. The kind that made people feel safe, heard and cared for. Her love was steady like a lighthouse always there when we needed direction.
