Harold Andrew Lasley
December 30, 1950 - May 23, 2025
Harold Andrew Lasley, passed away on May 23, 2025. He was born on December 30, 1950, to Eva Belle Peyton Lasley and Harold Luvelt Lasley. His father was serving in the US Army in Korea when he was born in Harlan, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Andy Lasley is survived by his loving wife of 49 years and 5 months, Macie Soria Lasley; his two adult children, Frank Andrew Lasley (Susan); grandchildren, Cody, Isabella and Aubrey, Andrea Lasley Riker (Jared) Devon, Nicholas, Jared Isaiah Riker and honorary grandson, Kyle Welch (LeAnn) Gideon and infant Imogen. Also survived by his sister, Linda Lasley Steinbrenner (Dante Marola); her children, Holly Hermann, and Heather (Mark) Veazie, her children, Andrew (Felicity) and Aaron; he is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Andy and Macie met at Grand Canyon College as 18-year-olds in August 1969. They graduated in 1973; he received a bachelor's in music education. He taught school for two years before applying for Officer Candidate School with the United States Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia. He reported to OCS in Quantico in August 1975. Andy and Macie married upon his successful completion on December 27, 1975. Andy served as a Communications Officer in his beloved Marine Corps from 1975 until honorably discharged as a Captain in July 1987. His last duty station was El Toro Marine Air Station, California. The family returned home to St. David, AZ. Andy became a Defense Contractor with various companies in Ft. Huachuca retiring on December 30, 2016 after nearly 29 years of service as a Systems and Technical Analyst.
Andy served as a music director in different churches while on active duty, Carlsbad Baptist Church being one. He was a music leader at First Baptist Church in St. David and most recently an Elder and Music Director at Calvary Christian Fellowship in St. David for over 20 years. He also taught Bible classes and shared his music at Quirbiri Nursing Home until his health declined. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather (OlPa), a great leader and friend. He was a faithful servant to God, his Country, family and friends. He is deeply missed by so many.
His Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 983 S. Ocotillo Ave., Benson, AZ on July 12, 2025 at 1 p.m. (2 p.m. Mountain Time). His Military Honors Ceremony and Committal is scheduled on July 18, 2025 at Southern Arizona Veterans Cemetery, 1300 S. Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, AZ.

What a servant of the King. Andy is tue one who gently nudged me to come to the table to serve not just to feast and I will forever be grateful. I know he heard well done good and faithful servant. I´ll miss him and look forward to seeing him again.

Andy was the best boss I ever had. He was compassionate and a very good friend. When he became a dog breeder I got him a special hat. He was a very special person and I´ll never forget him. I think of him every time I make molasses cookies, especially at the holidays.
