William J. James, 89, of Spring Hill, Kansas and formerly of Streator passed away Friday, June 20, 2025 Colonial Oaks Senior Living in Spring Hill, Kansas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. Friday, July 18th at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 18th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Streator.
Born September 30, 1935 in Streator he was the son of Harry and Ann (Kahanec) James. He married Sandra Walker on June 6, 1975. She preceded him in death on August 14, 2013.
He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth "Lyssa" (Cipriano) Mascote of Troy; a son, Bill (Joanne) James of Spring Hill, Kansas; grandchildren, Nico Mascote, Tristen James and Miranda Rutter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Frank Neumann.
Born and raised in Streator he attended St. Anthony Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.
Over the years, he worked at Streator Brickyard and FX Neumann and Sons.
He was a member of the former St. Anthony Church.
