Abeta Norris Obituary
Joy was a genuinely kind and giving person that always put the needs of others ahead of herself. A caretaker through and through; a nurse, a doting wife, a loving mom and grandmother.
Raised in Harkers Island, NC, by her parents Hubert and Letha Davis, she was the eldest of three siblings.
Joy met the love of her life, Robert, at Beaufort High School in Beaufort, NC. They were married in 1969 and have been inseparable ever since. Life took Joy and her family to several different locations across the Carolinas. Stops included Irmo, SC, Raleigh, NC, Beaufort, NC, and most recently, Youngsville, NC.
Besides spending time with her family, Joy enjoyed her rescue dogs Jack, Beau, Bindy, and Ollie, traveling to Thailand, cooking, and arts and crafts.
Joy is survived by her husband, Robert Norris; her three children, Robin Norris (spouse Rock Norris), Brent Norris (spouse Patra Norris), and Hilary Norris; her three grandchildren Avery, Mason, and Emerson; as well as her current rescue dog, Ollie.
