Adeline Guerin Obituary

As a lifelong educator, Adeline devoted her career to shaping young minds as a compassionate elementary teacher in both Chinatown, New York City, and Paramus, New Jersey. As she always said, "I believe that each child has a special talent. It's up to the teacher to discover and develop this talent but that is what makes teaching so rewarding." Adeline was known for her warm smile, strong mind, selflessness, and unconditional love for her family. She is like an angel and the most wonderful human being that we have ever met.
Adeline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John J. Guerin, who passed away in 1994, and her dear son, Michael Guerin, who she lost in 1982.
Adeline is survived by her sister-in-law, Terry Paladino; five children, Anh Tran, Hung Tran and his wife AiTam, Lien Do and her husband Jacob, Thanh (Hong) Han and her husband Robert, Hiep Tran and his wife Hiep; thirteen grandchildren, Steven, Lindsey, Christopher, Sabrina, Kenneth, Britney, Michelle, Michael, Matthew, Mark, Rose, John, and Rachael and many nieces and nephews who remember her for her kindness and generosity.
Her legacy lives on in the lives that she touched, the lessons she taught, and the family she built-not only by blood, but by love and choice.
Further, family will receive friends on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church, 234 N. Farview Avenue, Paramus. Interment immediately following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Adeline's memory may be made to St. Francis Breadline, 135 W. 31st Street, New York, NY 10001
