William L. Picketts Jr.

September 19, 2025

Lewistown, Pennsylvania - William L. Picketts Jr., 60, of State Route 103 North, Lewistown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born March 9, 1965, he was a son of William L. and J. Joann (Hopple) Picketts Sr. of Lewistown. His wife, Heidi J. (Cavanaugh) Picketts, whom he married July 5, 1985, survives.

Also surviving are: a daughter, Jessica L. Trapasso and husband James of Westtown, New York; a son, Chad M. Picketts and wife Brittany of Reedsville: a sister, Vickie L. Picketts of Lewistown; five grandchildren, Chase Trapasso, Carter Trapasso, Adilyn, Sloan, and Annistyn Picketts.

He was employed at Penn State University for 21 years

He was a fan of Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football, and enjoyed watching NASCAR and dirt track racing, spending time outdoors, and taking care of his dogs. Most of all, he loved time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at the Pine Glen Alliance Church, 1058 State Route 103 North, Lewistown.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 6 p.m. with Crist Mentzer as speaker.

Harshbarger Funeral Home, McVeytown, is in charge of arrangements.
