Albert Clemons Obituary

Albert Dudley Clemons, Jr., 79, passed away Monday September 8 in Lexington, Kentucky with family by his side. He was born November 26, 1945 to the late Albert Dudley Clemons, Sr. and the late Emma H. Scott. He was a hard worker, putting in many years as a tool and dye maker. He worked over 25 years for Hobarts and retired from the Bud Company. For all his hard work, he put even more effort into his family and his love for the Lord. He was a member of Greater First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Layman Board and the Choir and he also attended Evergreen Baptist Church for a time. He was a member of the Dirty Dozen club and was known in his community for making homemade wine. His gift of wine was his personal gesture of thanks to his friends and family who helped him out, but mostly he will be remembered as a loving Father, Brother, and Grandfather.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons Lashan (Renee) Clemons of Harrodsburg, Ky and Troy (Kelly) Darnell of Mount Sterling; two brothers Robert (Charlene) Clemons of Sharpburg, Howard (Darmati) Clemons of Mount Sterling; seven grandchildren Jazmine Clemons, Jyonna Clemons, Cambri Walker, Holly Marcus, Andrea Darnell, Alajywon Dean, and Cherish Kavanaugh; a host of great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Ernest Clemons.

Friends may visit Saturday September 20th from 11 a.m.-1p.m. at the Greater First Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Gary Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
