Albert Ray Farine

April 10, 1936 – August 13, 2025

Albert Farine, 89, of Siloam Springs, passed away peacefully at his home on August 13th.

Born April 10, 1936, in Irving, Texas, to Arthur and Bertie Farine, Albert was the sixth of seven children. He grew up on the family's farm, originally homesteaded by his great-grandfather after emigrating from France in 1855. This early connection to the land shaped Albert's lifelong love of nature.

In 1958, Albert joined the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Polk and Germany. While overseas, his mother and future mother-in-law, working together at Temco Aircraft in Dallas, successfully conspired to introduce their children in hopes of a love match. On January 19, 1963, one of the coldest days in Dallas history, Albert married Quinda Young, beginning a 62-year partnership rooted in love, shared values, and deep commitment to family.

The couple moved to Northwest Arkansas, where they built their home on a farm alongside the Illinois River. There they raised four daughters and instilled in them a love of the outdoors and respect for the natural world.

Albert had an encyclopedic knowledge of birds, fish, trees, and wildlife. He especially loved Colorado, making an annual hunting trip there for over 60 years with family and lifelong friends.

He is survived by his wife Quinda; his sister, Glorianne Coker; his daughters Susan Beaver (Ray), Ann DeVos (Louis), Jane Molina (Tony), Sarah Vinson (John), eleven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Albert's honor to the Illinois River Watershed Partnership or the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust, supporting the protection of the natural resources he cherished. Arrangements by Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th Street, Rogers, Arkansas. Online condolences to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com
