Albert Starkey was born in Hale County, Greensboro, Alabama on March
17, 1930 (birth certificate) to the late Ms. Vinire Word.
Albert was raised by his father ABE and Henrietta Starkey along with 7
siblings : ABE Jr. (Book), Mary Ella (Talee), Peggie (Dear), Amos
(Spud), Lizzie (Baby sister) and Sudie Roberta (Pete) all who preceded
him in death.
Albert married Roxie Bridges in 1959, Chicago Illinois to this union was
four children (Rozlyn Martin, Beverly Starkey and Dennis Bridges who
he raised as his son. The fifth child (son) Marvin Scott was born from
another union.
Albert retired from Sloss Furnace, Birmingham, Alabama. He served
many positions during his time of service, he later became a truck driver
for a clothing store and a Bootlegger at heart.
Albert leave to cherish 5 children, Rozlyn Evon Starkey, Beverly Ann
Starkey (Laporte, Indiana), Dennis Bridges (La Porte, Indiana), Martin
Jeffery Starkey, (Florida), Marvin Scott (wife) Cleveland Ohio. A host of
grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews relative's and friends.
Caregivers great-niece Patty Williams, friend Dorothy Hill (Dot) and
Arlington Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
Albert who was known as Uncle Pewee or Son transitioned from his
earthly life on June 6, 2025. He requested to be cremated his request was
honored on June 10, 2025
