Alex Scott Collins, 39, of Anderson, passed away on July 13, 2025. He was born on March 20, 1986, in Anderson, Indiana, and resided most of his life in Anderson and Muncie.
Alex graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 2004. He proudly served his country in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged as a disabled veteran.
Alex was a retro man who loved collecting anything classic and nerdy. An avid video gamer, music buff, connoisseur of classic cartoons and movies, especially Batman! A fan of nature and animals, he spent time volunteering at animal shelters, Mounds State Park, and the Red-Tail Land Conservancy. Above all, Alex was compassionate and kind.
Alex is survived by his loving wife, Savannah Lundgren; mother, Julie (Ronnie) Meyer; father, Perry (Karla) Collins and Kathy Collins; three brothers, Ryan Baker, Dillon (Hillary Robertson) Hiatt and Adam (Kerrigan) Brosio; grandparents, Nancy Vaughn and Michael and Kristy Eidson; aunt, Brenda Bucci and Lisa Collins; uncle, Todd (Heather Elwell) Grissom, Larry Collins and Mike (Karen) Collins; niece, Hattie Brosio and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Brosio; his aunt, Laurie Lesch; his grandparents, Nila and Wayne Collins, and Larry Vaughn; and his great-grandparents, Harper and Wanda Rector.
Alex cherished his best friend and army brother of 14 years, Andres Scott Florit. Many beloved pets will miss him forever: Einstein, Pepper, Zorro, Boba Fett, Ripley, Fuyumi, Eevee, Waffles, and all his special kitties.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, Indiana.
A memorial service will follow visitation at 2:30 pm with Rev. Ken Cavenaugh officiating.
Burial of his cremated remains will take place in Anderson Memorial Park, Anderson, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate a gift card for cat and dog food for Alex's pets, or make a monetary donation to the family through Loose Funeral Home on the day of visitation. www.LooseCares.com.
