He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Elec Dickerson (Ginger) of Newport and Justin Dickerson of Greensboro and grandchildren, Gary, Brayden, Hayley and Jeffrey.
Alexander is preceded in death by his parents, Heber and Mildred Dickerson and brothers, Glenn Dickerson and Bryant Dickerson.
Alex was a man of simple pleasures, finding immense joy in the quiet pursuits of life. He was a passionate saltwater fisherman, spending countless hours patiently casting his line, connecting with nature in a way few of us can truly appreciate. His hands, calloused and strong from years of labor, were equally skilled in crafting beautiful hand-carved canes, a testament to his dedication and artistry. Each cane was a unique piece, reflecting not only his skill but also a piece of his soul.
Beyond his hobbies, Alex was known for his unwavering work ethic and genuine humility. His quiet strength and kindness touched the lives of everyone he knew. He was a steadfast presence, a reliable friend, and a loving father and grandfather.
Private Services will be held at a later date.
