Alice "Elaine" High, passed away on July 5, 2025, at the age of 89 in Blue Springs, Missouri. Born on January 9, 1936, in El Dorado Springs, Missouri, Elaine was a devoted homemaker whose life was filled with love for her family, and whose hobbies included gardening, avid reading, and passionately cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Elaine's pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support will always be cherished by her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Sutton and Sondra Wagner, along with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, George Nelson Henry and Grace Lillian Henry, her husband, William High, her son, Steven High and two sisters and one brother. Each of them played a significant role in shaping the loving person she became.
A visitation will be held in her honor at Speaks Buckner Chapel located at 300 Adams St, Buckner, Missouri, on July 10, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place starting at 10:00 AM, also at Speaks Buckner Chapel, and will be followed by a burial at Buckner Hill Cemetery, 1450 S Buckner Tarsney Rd, Buckner, Missouri.
Elaine's warm spirit and cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
