Alma Faye Chavers, 86, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on the morning of July 12, 2025. Born on June 17, 1939 in Munson, FL, Faye dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for the last 60 years and was the heart of our home and family. She leaves a void in the heart of her family that cannot be filled.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Hugh; siblings: Robert E. Carr Sr. (Mary Lou), Gerald A. Carr, and Frances Joyner (Samuel); brother-in-law, L.D. Smith; and her parents, Willie Miles Carr and Lizzie Mae Parker Carr.
She will be lovingly remembered by her adult children: Linda, Richard, and Thomas; siblings: Syble Smith, Katie Nixon (Alton), Earl Carr, and Noah Carr (Barbara); sister-in-law, Patsy Carr; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Faye's infectious smile, kind heart, sense of humor, deep-rooted faith and unwavering love for her family will forever be remembered by those who knew her. Faye was a woman of many passions including, traveling, fishing, and supervising the projects her husband worked on.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home followed by a gathering at the Chavers family home.
