On July 11, 2025, Poppy went to his heavenly home surrounded by his family. Welcoming him at heaven's gate were his parents Henry & Katie Hodge, in-laws Johnny & Lizzy Stanley, his beloved grandma Martha Reed and grandpa Arnold Dunford, and his favorite cousin Sue Bland.
Left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy of love are his wife of 47 years Mary Frances Stanley Hodge, children; Wes (Mandy) Hodge, Beth (Travis) Mabes, and Tommy (Melissa) Hodge, his grandchildren (aka the reason he fought so hard); Colton(Damie), Cooper, Carsyn, Paisley, Macy, Corrie, Nathan, & Faith Ann. Siblings; Kelvin (Alice) Hodge, Regina (Garry) Ledford, Keith (Christy) Hodge, Larry (Judy) Fielder. In-laws; Nannie Hoosier, Fred (Jenny) Stanley, and Lanelle (Leslie) Fisher. Special friends; Jeff (Nikki) Waldin, Michele (Steve) Ciaravino, Don Brown, Wanda Scott, Anita Givens, and Darrell (Ann) Fisher. His cousins who were more like sisters, Janet, Lois, Monica, and Faye. His church family at Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy, his nieces, nephews, all the many cousins and friends.
The family would like to extend many thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice, especially Christa, Tammy, Joslynn, Clara, and Angie. You all are a true blessing, and your kindness will never be forgotten.
Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Don Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Huffman Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 3-4 PM.
