Amy Louise Billings passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet generosity. Her sudden departure has left a deep ache in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Amy is survived by her devoted mother, Phyllis S. Billings; her loving sister, Jennifer S. Billings; her adored nephews, Michael A. Coccetti and Stefano A. Coccetti; and her beloved niece, Gabriella F. Coccetti. She is also survived by her aunts, Barbara and Priscilla. In addition to her family by birth, Amy leaves behind her chosen family: Carey, Trish, Alex, Michael, and Xander-each of whom shared a deep, meaningful bond with her.
Professionally, Amy worked as an administrative assistant at Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer and had previously worked with the Integrated Medicine program at Johnson State College. She was known for her dedication, attention to detail, and warmth in every role she filled.
Amy also gave generously of her time to causes close to her heart. She especially loved volunteering at the Vermont International Festival and the Humane Society, where her passion for animals, community, and culture came to life.
Amy was known for her gentle spirit and selfless heart. She went out of her way to spread kindness, always offering comfort and compassion to others. Heart symbols held special meaning for her-beautiful reflections of the love she carried and shared so freely.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures-going to the gym, biking with friends, and spending time with her family. Amy had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her generous heart and loving presence touched everyone who knew her.
Her beautiful spirit and the kindness she brought to the world will never be forgotten. She will be remembered always and missed beyond words.
Since Amy had a deep love for dogs-especially those who visited her office and the ones she adored in her neighborhood-donations may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Chittenden County or to an animal rescue organization of your choice.
A small celebration of life for family and close friends will be held at a later date to honor Amy's memory, her warmth, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
