It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Amy Michelle Newsome, 52, on August 4, 2025, in Plainview, TX. Cremation arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory of Plainview.

Amy Newsome was born in Tulia, TX, on April 9, 1973, to Charles and Sandra (Lacy) Helton.

Amy loved online shopping and coloring her hair in crazy colors. She enjoyed watching supernatural shows and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Taking walks brought her joy, and she treasured the good times spent with those around her. She adored her grandchildren and spoiled them as much as she could. Now, she is reunited with her husband Truman, whom she loved immensely.

Amy is preceded in death by her husband, Truman Newsome; and her parents, Charles and Sandra Helton.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Allyson Martinez (Andrew) of Hale Center, TX, and Christopher Bolding (Brittany) of Akron, OH; her sisters, Billie Helton of Plainview, TX, and Stacy Brown (Lonnie) of Tulia, TX; her five grandchildren, Kason, Andrew, Analee, Easton, Maliyah, all of Hale Center, TX; her niece, Mackenzie Hodges (Dawson) of Lubbock, TX, and her nephew, Krece Winders (Avery) of Clovis, NM.
