Ana Justin Obituary

Ana Marie Justin passed away peacefully at the Anchorage Pioneers Home in Alaska at the age of 89.
Ana was an extraordinary and adventurous woman-truly ahead of her time. She earned a master's degree in social work from the University of Washington and began her remarkable journey by moving to Alaska, where she became an early pioneer in the State's child welfare movement. She brought with her advanced clinical training from the prestigious Ryther Child Center in Seattle, which greatly informed her work in Alaska.
Later, Ana joined a private psychiatric clinic in Anchorage before transitioning into a successful career in real estate and then back into clinical work with children as the head of clinical services at Alaska Youth and Parent Foundation. Her curiosity about life never waned. Deeply interested in spirituality, she continued her studies with B.O.T.A., A.T.O.M., and Perelandra based teachings.
Her adventurous and service-driven spirit also led her to Germany, where she worked with the U.S. Air Force's Family Advocacy Program as a psychotherapist providing support to military families and children.
Ana was a true pioneer in every sense-resilient, strong-willed, and compassionate. She spent her final years at the Anchorage Pioneers Home, where she was cared for with empathy and kindness by the nursing staff, who often remarked on her spirited personality and unwavering will.
Anyone who knew Ana deeply would say that her boundless curiosity extended even to life's final chapter-she looked forward with wonder at what comes next in the great transition.
Ana passed peacefully on June 13, 2025. May she rest in peace.
