Andrew Evan "Andy" Loretta, 50, of Miami, Florida, passed away on June 10, 2025. He was born on November 5, 1974, in Niles, Michigan, to Richard and Jennifer Loretta. After his childhood in Battle Creek, Michigan, and Campinas, Brazil, Andy spent his teenage years in San Diego, California. He was a graduate of Loyola Marymount University and built a successful career as Senior Director for Maritime Business Development at Orbcomm. Andy had a deep love of travel and was fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. He was passionate about his sports teams, cheering on InterMiami FC and Tottenham Hotspurs, as well as USC football and Padres & Tigers baseball. He was an avid runner, surfer, and paddleboarder who found joy in staying active and exploring the world around him. He loved music of all kinds, from rock en español to bossa nova, but The Police and the Grateful Dead were his long-time favorites. Above all, Andy was an amazing husband and father. He was deeply devoted to his wife, Michelle Loretta, and their children, Lili and Lucas. He gave generously of his time, always placing his family first. He was a true partner to Michelle, whose success was made possible in large part through his unwavering support. Andy is also survived by his brothers, Robert Loretta (Lorraine), Patrick David Loretta (Donna), niece Alison Loretta, and countless family members and friends. A funeral Mass will take place at St. Hugh Catholic Church in Miami on July 17 at 11 a.m., with a celebration of his life to follow at Bay 13 Brewery in Coral Gables.
