Angela Malouf Colton, loving wife of George Colton, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2025. Angela was born in Knox City, TX on December 26, 1936, to George and Ramza Malouf. She grew up in Hamlin, TX, and then moved to Lubbock where she graduated from Texas Tech and stayed on to work at the university after graduation. It was during her time at Texas Tech that she met her husband who was in the Air Force and working on his graduate degree. She and George were married in 1964 and lived in Washington, DC, California, Texas, and then they settled in Shalimar, FL, in 1979 when George started working in the Test Wing at Eglin AFB. Like so many others, they fell in love with the area and made it their forever home.
Angela spent a number of years as a homemaker but then spent almost 20 years owning and operating Western Feed and Seed of Niceville with George. This was a time in their lives that they both enjoyed tremendously as they developed a wonderful community with their customers. Angela was also a very active member for over 40 years at Shalimar United Methodist Church where she was a Stephen's Minister and volunteered in the administrative office. In her neighborhood she was affectionately known as the Mayor of Pebble Beach because of her love and care for her neighbors as well as her organization of many a neighborhood get together. A favorite of hers was to throw a driveway party and invite all the neighbors. Because of that, her community is going to celebrate her life and honor her on April 5 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. with a driveway party. All that loved Angela are welcome. A more formal burial and service will be held later in the year.
Angela is survived by her husband, George; her daughter, Carol Jackovich of Georgia; her son, Stephen Colton of Nevada; her very beloved granddaughters, Jenna and Julia, and countless other friends and relatives that she considered family.
