Angela Marie Stevens
July 21, 1952 – July 15, 2025
Angela Marie Stevens was born on a Monday, July 21, 1952, in Memphis, Tennessee, to RB
Burton and Georgia Geneva "Neva" Burton (Girvin). She was the cherished middle child of
three, growing up in the small town of
Portageville, Missouri, alongside her siblings Danny
Burton and Elizabeth McCoy (Burton). Angela attended middle and high school in Portageville,
where her bright light and joyful energy began to shine in the lives of those around her.
At 18, she married Michael Waldron in 1971, beginning her life's great adventure. In 1972, she
moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she began her career in the world of escrow-a path
that reflected her integrity, warmth, and attention to detail.
In 1975, Angela moved to Sacramento, California, where she put down roots and started the
family she cherished above all else. She was a devoted mother to her two adored children: Jacob
Michael Waldron and Kathryn Elizabeth "Kaydi" McNaughton (Waldron). She often said their
births changed her life for the better-and they felt that in the endless love, fierce protection, and
unwavering support she poured into their lives.
In 1999, Angela met the greatest love of her life, Donald "Rusty" Stevens. Together, they shared
a beautiful journey filled with hot rods and car shows, organic living, family, and travel. In 2002,
they returned to her home state of Missouri and settled in Cabool, where they built her forever
home-crafted with love and the help of Eleazar "L" Posant, who became like a son to her.
Angela was truly a light that shined like no other. Her smile could brighten any room, and her
laughter was a melody of joy. She made everyone feel special-many lovingly referred to her as
their best friend. With a heart that loved God, she radiated kindness and empathy, meeting
people with deep compassion and zero judgment. She had a way of putting others at ease,
allowing them to be their most vulnerable and authentic selves. Her sweet Southern charm
always set her apart from the crowd-and it never went unnoticed. Angela was a true original-
one of a kind in every way-with a magnetic presence that people were naturally drawn to.
Being in her orbit felt like home.
She could talk an ear off and make a friend anywhere she went. She gave the best hugs, had the
most beautiful complexion, and was always perfectly put together-her flawless makeup
reflecting the care and grace she brought to life. Angela was the voice of reason, always
grounded in love, with a spirit that ran deep and fierce.
She adored spending time with her grandchildren, hosting magical Christmases, fun-filled Easter
egg hunts, backyard cookouts, and joyful celebrations. She loved playing Farkle with her
girlfriends, sharing laughter with her sister, and bringing her signature flair to everything she
touched. Angela was known for her beautifully wrapped packages, her unforgettable themed
events, and the way she made every moment feel extra special.
Angela passed peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Portageville,
Missouri, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was preceded in death by the greatest love of her life, Rusty Stevens; her parents, RB and
Neva Burton; her grandparents JL and Georgia Girvin, Ben and Susie Burton; Stepdaughter
Alison Stevens; and her granddaughter, Liliko'i Gallegos.
She is survived by her children, Jacob (Eunicia) Waldron, Kaydi (Joe) McNaughton, and Trevor
(Sarah) Stevens; her siblings, Danny (Gail) Burton and Elizabeth McCoy; her grandchildren,
Angela, Ileana, and Sophia Waldron, Garryn Crist, Ariah McNaughton, and Warren Stevens; and

leaves behind several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with a wide circle of
treasured friends and extended family who were deeply touched by her love, kindness, and
unwavering presence. Each of them carries her light, her laughter, and the beauty of her love.
Angela's legacy is one of deep connection, unconditional love, joy, and grace. She was a prime
example of how to live and love. She changed lives simply by being herself, and though her
absence leaves a void no words can fill, her memory will forever be a guiding light.
