Ann McGuire Obituary

Ann McGuire, age 72 of Rapid City, died Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Rolling Hills Healthcare Center in Belle Fourche.

A Memorial Service will be held 10 am Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. There will be no visitation. 

Alice Ann McGuire was born November 6, 1952 in South Dakota. She was the daughter of Francis “Mac” and Alice (Larson) McGuire. Ann graduated from the Rapid City Central High School and received a degree from a beauty college in Sioux Falls. For two years she lived in Minneapolis, before moving to Fort Worth Texas, where she lived for 23 years. Ann loved Texas and had many life-long friendships there. In 1981 she moved to Australia, before returning to Fort Worth in 1988. In 2002 Ann moved to Rapid City and she returned to Forth Worth in 2006. During all these years, Ann worked as a Hair Stylist. Ann worked hard throughout her life to support her and her family. She was a devoted mother. In 2021 she began developing symptoms of Alzheimer’s and as a result she came back to Rapid City so she could be close to her family.

Ann is survived by her two sons, Carl (Geraldine) Wallis of Bridgewater NJ, Clayton Lusty of Charleston SC; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Ellen Reddick of St. Onge, Jo (Mark) Vroman of St. Onge, Jacki Hutter of Billings MT; and brother, John McGuire of Rapid City.
