Ann Marie Wagner, 86, a resident of Parkville, MO, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Ann was born on March 31, 1939, in Todd County, KY to Henry Lee Rich and Annie Mae (Combs) Rich.
She was a graduate of Bosse High School in Evansville, IN. She married Donald (Don) Wayne Wagner on May 18, 1957, and together they had two daughters, Andrea (Marty) Nelson and Michele (Jay) Williams. They were married 60 years before Don preceded her in death in 2018. Together they built a life that included time not only in Evansville, IN, but in Kansas City, MO; Fairfield, IA; and 40 years in Knoxville, TN where they were active members of the Karns Church of Christ and had numerous close friends with whom they traveled and spent hours playing cards and eating out with.
Ann spent much of her working life as an Executive Assistant in the advertising and real estate fields. She also was the Vice President of her own advertising agency - Herman, Bowers and Wagner. She played a vital role helping her husband begin and maintain his company, American Plastic Profiles.
She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, playing cards and participating in a dinner club with close friends. They returned to Kansas City in 2017 due to declining health and to be near family.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband and her brother James (Jimmy) Rich.
She is survived by both daughters; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and Bella, her beloved toy poodle.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IN with Pastor Steve Higginbotham officiating and burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery also in Mt. Vernon, IN.
