Anna Foley Obituary

We are saddened to announce the passing of Anna Foley, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, neighbor, in-law and friend, who peacefully passed away on Monday January 27th, 2025, at the age of 92.
Anna was born on November 15, 1932, in Passaic, New Jersey to Agnes & Ignatz Garger. Anna was a faithful member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in Glen Ellyn and a devoted follower of Christ throughout her life.
Anna is survived by her daughter Jennifer Foley, son Michael Foley, brothers Joseph Garger and Edward Garger, lifelong best friend, Johanna Sieber and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Foley, mother Agnes Garger, father Ignatz Garger, sister Agnes Tretter, cherished great niece, Emily Shann.
A resident of Glen Ellyn since 1978, Anna worked at College of DuPage for over 20 years. College of DuPage was much more than a workplace for Anna. So much so that she continued to work well past retirement, eventually retiring at age 78. She loved her time working at the College and developed deep friendships that lasted until her passing.
Loved by all who knew her, Anna was known for her innate kindness, generosity, endless supply of love, determination, bravery, love for family and active service to the Church. Anna loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. She found joy in gardening, sewing, knitting, spending time with family, friends, in-laws & neighbors, and being outside enjoying nature. She lived her life with deep faith, devotion and compassion. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith and deep love for family. Her unforgettable smile and laughter will be sorely missed.
Visitation Wednesday February 5, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. Wheaton, IL 60187. Family and Friends to meet at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 480 S. Park Blvd. Glen Ellyn, IL on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Mass at 10 a.m. Interment at St. Michaels cemetery in Wheaton, IL. All are welcome to join in this celebration of life and faith.
