Anna M. Hess, 84, of Clifton passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at La Bella of Clifton. She was born on May 31, 1941 in Milks Grove Twp., a daughter of Fred Ernest and Eleanor (Kroll) Wade and they preceded her in death. Anna married Ronald Hess on May 28, 1966 in Wautoma, Wisconsin and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2018.
She is survived by four children, Sharon Welge, Rhonda (Dave Riddle) Gasperini, Donna (Mark Lafond) Hess, Mark (Danielle) Hess; fourteen grandchildren, Justin, Dominick, Mia, Tiffany (Jose), Alyssa (Peter), Masen, Michael, Merrick, Zach (Danielle), Tyler (Sydney), Brayden, Linsey, Dylan, and Ethyn; eight great-grandchildren, Lyla, Addilyn, Mycah, Peter II, Autumn, Cameron, Brixlee, and Silas; two sisters, Dodi (Bill) Callister and Mary (Jim) Kram; two brothers, William Wade and Edwin (Marianne) Wade; and one sister-in-law, Mary Scott.
Anna was also preceded in death by her two daughters, Dawn Ellen and Linda; granddaughter, Tonya; son-in-law, Kevin.
Anna was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Clifton, where she served on the Altar Guild, and as a volunteer for Sunday School and Bible School. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts for church. She owned her own daycare for many years and truly enjoyed all the kids from her daycare over the years.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Clifton 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Joel Brown officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Clifton Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church in Clifton or Uplifted Care of Bourbonnais.
