It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Elaine Bower(DeView), a cherished wife, beloved mother and grandmother, and dear friend. One of eight siblings, Anne was born on June 29, 1953, and left us on June 28, 2025, just one day short of her 72nd birthday.
Anne is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas Bower, whom she married on April 22,1972, and their four loving children: Andrea Bower, Seth Bower (Kristen Bower), Alissa Pickett (Korey Pickett), and Alena Bower (Katherine Baker). She also has two beautiful grandchildren, Kelby Bower and Jace Bower. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Elaine DeView, and her siblings, Mary Woodall and Timothy DeView.
After starting her teaching career at North Branch Area Schools in 1997, Anne remained dedicated to her profession, emphasizing the significance of education in her children's lives and consequently making an indelible mark on not only her students, but also the community as a whole.
Anne had a contentment for life that was infectious. She enjoyed thrifting and going to garage sales, often sharing her unique finds with friends and family. She had an intense love for classic movies on TCM and spent countless hours engulfed in the cinematic world. She was happiest spending time at their cabin "Up North," one of her favorite vacation spots.
An ardent lover of music, Anne's favorites included The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Tunes often filled the Bower household. Her quick wit and warm personality were endearing to all who met her, and her lessons on patience and kindness will carry on in the hearts of many.
With a legacy of generosity and a giving spirit(often gifting items to others if they complimented on them), Anne desired to make a difference in the lives of those around her, often going beyond measures to ensure others' happiness. Her love for her family was unending, and her best moments were those spent with them.
She has left a lasting mark on our hearts, and we will carry her memory with us always. We take comfort in knowing that Anne is now reunited with her parents and siblings, and her spirit will live on in the wonderful family she left behind.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Hospice of Aspire.
