In Loving Memory
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Anne Moyer, beloved wife and mother, whose warmth, love and unwavering spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She departed this world peacefully at National Health Care nursing home on June 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength and enduring love.
Anne was born November 28,1943, the daughter of Gene and Ruth Holdren, in Hartville, Missouri. She was a devoted partner and a guiding light to her family, friends, and community. Her compassionate nature and willingness to serve were the foundation of countless cherished memories and moments of joy.
Anne filled her home with a caring nature and was an active member of organizations which served others. She faced life with grace and courage, inspiring all who had the privilege of walking alongside her. She was a strong, contributing member of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association serving as Vice President of Region 12. Additionally, Anne was a 50-year member of PEO. She also served children as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer, once receiving recognition as Missouri CASA Volunteer of the Year.
Anne's service on behalf of underprivileged children started long before her post-career advocacy. Anne and John adopted two children, Rick and Claire, who were brought into and raised in a loving home and afforded every advantage in what was the best possible outcome for children with uncertain futures. Anne's unwavering love and dedication to the children and their environment was the stabilizing force in guiding the children toward loving families of their own.
Anne was a teacher of Family Consumer Science in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and in Blair Oaks and Kennett school districts in Missouri. She held undergraduate, and advanced degrees from Drury University and University of Central Missouri, respectively.
While her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit remains an ever-present source of comfort and strength. Her love will continue to guide those who held her dear and remind them of the beauty of a life lived fully and selflessly.
She is survived by her husband: John Moyer; two children: Rick (Ashley) Moyer, and Claire (Chris) Jenkins; and four grandchildren: Charlie, Sloan and Beau Moyer and Caroline Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, C L Holdren.
As we say goodbye, we remember her not with sorrow but with gratitude for the immeasurable blessings her life brought. She will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
