Mrs. Marian Smoak Tripp, 84, of Ruffin, entered into rest Saturday morning, October 18, 2025, at Colleton Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Dink Tripp.
Born January 8, 1941, in Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Willis A. Smoak and Estelle Iriel Smoak. She was employed by Dayco for over 30 years. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Surviving are: her daughters, Tami Linder (Tony) of Smoaks and Tracy Kinard of Ruffin; daughters-in-law, Beth Alderman Tripp of Ruffin and Annette Garnsey; sisters, Linda Smoak and Barbara Nelson; grandchildren, Amanda Tripp Lane (Marshall), Michael Tripp, Jr., Brian Linder (Lindsey), Matthew T. Linder, Drew Tripp (Hannah), Dustin Tripp, and Tyler Kinard; great grandchildren, Christina, Josh, Shelby, and Nora; great great grandchildren, Braxton, Jaxon, Baylor, Luella, Tucker, and Maverick; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Michael Tripp, Sr. and John Anthony Tripp; and a great great grandchild, McKinley.
Graveside funeral services will be held 3 o’clock, Monday, October 20, 2025, at Smoak Cemetery, Cane Branch Road, Walterboro. The Reverend Ricky Crosby officiating.
