Anthony "Tony" Jay Boatright, 69, formally of Carthage Missouri, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at The Blossoms at Eureka Springs Rehab and Nursing Center. Tony was born on February 24, 1956, in Hillsboro, Oregon, to Denny and Mary Jeannette Boatright. He graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1974. He served his country in the US Navy. He also attended Missouri Southern State College. He worked for Consumers Grocery Store in Carthage, Webb City and Joplin for 21 years before he retired and was a member of the UFCW United Food & Commercial Workers Union. Tony was a devout Christian and attended the Carthage Nazarene Church. He enjoyed fast cars and loved listening to rock and roll.
Tony was joined in marriage to Karen Robertson, and they celebrated 40 years together; she survives.
He is survived by two sons, Cory Boatright (Charissa) of Webb City and David Boatright (Jennifer) of Joplin; one daughter Christi Gideon (Chad) of Sparta; one sister Jan Wiggins (John) of Rolla; and his biggest treasures, his grandchildren, Paisly, Karson, Griffin, Addison, Mackenzie, and Zara.
There will be a graveside service for Tony at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Hackney Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri. The visitation will be held prior to the graveside from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri.

Contributions can be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
