Raised in a close-knit Italian family, he embraced his heritage and instilled those values in his children.
As a teenager, Anthony was known for his resourcefulness, often climbing avocado trees to collect fruit to earn money for movies and other desires. At just 17, he became a devoted father, raising six children with love and dedication.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly DeBlasio of Mt. Pleasant, TN; children, Anthony, Trish, Joe, Brandon, and Jacob; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; brother, Mike (Judy) DeBlasio; sister, Theresa Raines; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony DeBlasio, Sr. and Barbara Mary Ferraro DeBlasio; a son, Steven Anthony DeBlasio, who was especially close to his grandmother.
Professionally, Anthony was a drywall expert, renowned for his meticulous craftsmanship, when he finished a job, you could never tell there had been a hole in the first place. He worked for many years painting houses for the Duggars, where he found friendship and fulfillment in making spaces beautiful.
A true Dallas Cowboys enthusiast, he had a special bond with his dog, Sofia, who won his heart from day one. Anthony took great pride in his work and found joy in dancing, having been a disco star who won numerous awards for his talents.
Known for his kindness and good nature, he was stubborn to a fault. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His presence will remain with us, and now he rests in God’s hands. We take comfort in knowing we will see him again one day!
