Anthony Frank Stanchio
Nov 29, 1988 - January 25, 2025
Anthony Frank Stanchio, was born in Miami, Florida, on Tuesday, November 29, 1988, and went to be with our Lord on Saturday, January 25, 2025, while in his home. He was born to his father, James (Jimmy), and mother, Dianna Stanchio, of Homosassa, Florida.
Anthony lived in Florida and Alabama all his life. He attended Theodore High School. At an early age, he developed a love for football and played on the Redskins' Team, where his father coached. There is no doubt that his dad showed no favoritism in coaching. His sister Chantel was a huge fan and cheered him on. His love for football continued as he became an avid fan of the University of Alabama and often shouted "Roll Tide." One of his fondest memories was when Anthony and his father attended the Mobile Mystic Hockey games using their season tickets. He loved helping his dad with projects around the home so much that he seldom said no.
He was no stranger to the outdoors-he loved fishing with his family in the Gulf of Mexico around the oil rigs - no doubt who caught the "biggest" fish. There was a gentle side to Anthony that some people didn't know; he loved animals, so he visited a baby kitten every day until she came of age to adopt her. Now, Tiger Sara will live with his brother, James Lee. His mom often said that he was a young man with an old spirit because of his love for animals and children. He especially loved teasing and enjoying his nieces and nephews.
Reading was one of his most loved pastimes, and he spent countless hours in the library. Anthony often enjoyed journaling in his notebooks and writing words of encouragement and other snippets about God. In his latest writings, he wrote about the Bible and shared verses such as his favorite passage, John 3:16. Anthony's faith had become strong, and he desired others to know God; he often purchased small wooden crosses and Bibles to give away. He was not ashamed to share the message of Jesus Christ and shouted Jesus loves you.
