A funeral mass will be held on Saturday July 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception in Goliad, Texas with a burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery in Goliad, Texas. Honoring Apolonia as pallbearers will be Casey Vargas, Xzavier Vargas, Nick Davila, Rocky Rivera, Pablo Davila, David Edison and Kyler Ramos.
Apolonia was preceded in death by her parents, Lucio and Maria Rosales; her loving husband, Aureliano Vargas; her daughter, Rebecca Vargas, and her granddaughter, Tiffany Vargas.
She is survived by her son, Rolando Vargas; grandson, Casey Vargas; 4 great-grandchildren, Kyler Ramos, Heaven Rivera, Rockie Rivera, Xzavier Vargas; one great-great-grandchild, Journee Vargas; and brother, Lucio Rosales Jr.
Apolonia enjoyed cooking and she was a very strong hearted woman who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed her Sunday barbeques with her grandson, and she loved to watch her Sunday football games, especially when the Dallas Cowboys were playing. She was an amazing grandmother who always put others first before herself. She will truly be missed, although now we know she is resting in peace with her loving husband Aureliano, who she had an amazing 64 years with.
